Assystem invests in the future of engineering for the long-term good of industry and have developed close ties with numerous schools and colleges in proximity to our main offices, hosting pupil visits to enable work experience and undergraduate work placements.
Prizes are sponsored at schools and universities, from 'creative' awards such as those for 'Art in Engineering' to specific initiatives such as the undergraduate Assystem prize at the University of Bristol's Aeronautics department. Visiting lecturers are provided to universities up and down the country and public lectures are given to the broader community, promoting the status of professional engineers and the engineering industry as a whole.
We are also actively involved in numerous major national educational and industrial initiatives.
Our Technical and Quality Director represents us as a visiting professor at Salford University, as a member of Bristol University's Industrial Liaison Committee and as member of the RAEng Design Matters Group. Senior Assystem managers contribute to a number of important national trade committees
We also sponsor non-engineering initiatives in the vicinity of our offices and various charity events.
Assystem staff are actively encouraged to take part in educational and charity-based initiatives and to act as Governors of schools within their local communities.
