Accessibility
Standards compliance
Our website uses Cascading Style Sheets for presentation and aims to meet the "AA" conformance level of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
In plain English, this means that the site can be viewed in all modern browsers, and other devices such as screen readers, to make the site as accessible as possible.
Older browsers (such as Internet Explorer 4 and Netscape 4) do not comply with these web standards, so users of these browsers will not experience the site at its best. They will be able to read and navigate the site, but we strongly recommend they upgrade to a standards-compliant browser:
Firefox
Netscape
Microsoft Internet Explorer
Opera
For Mac OS X only:
Safari
Camino
Text size
If the text on this site is too small for you to read, you can choose a larger size:
- in Internet Explorer (Windows), use View, Text Size on the browser menu
- in Netscape 6 or 7 and Internet Explorer (Mac), use the View, Text Zoom on the browser menu
Keystroke shortcuts (access keys)
Access keys allow you to navigate around a website or piece of computer software without having to use a mouse or other pointing device.
The use of access keys differs between browsers:
- Internet Explorer 5+: Hold down the Alt key and select the number/letter of the access key, then press ENTER
- Internet Explorer 4: Hold down the Alt key and select the number/letter of the access key
- Internet Explorer 5+ for Mac: Hold down the Ctrl key and select the number/letter of the access key
- Internet Explorer 4.5 for Mac: Access keys are not supported
- Mozilla: Hold down the Alt key and select the number/letter of the access key
- Netscape 6+: Hold down the Alt key and select the number/letter of the access key
- Netscape earlier versions: Access keys are not supported
