Simulation of a Food Processing Factory - May 2004

Assystem has been selected to carry out a modeling study on the production processes in a large meat processing factory. The key skills deployed are virtual modeling of the plant, capture of the rules governing production, planning variables allowing various combinations of product recipes to be modeled and factory efficiency prediction. Using discrete event models we expect to be able to predict performance of the existing plant and to advise on the best way forward to improve the existing plant as well as advise on new investments that are contemplated.

This project draws on successful experience modeling aerospace (example left), naval, nuclear and industrial processes and will demonstrate to a new client the value of virtual performance prediction prior to commitment to hardware purchase.
